Blood Money Music Review

Blood Money Music
Music Director : Jeet Ganguly, Siddharth Haldipur & Sangeet Haldipur

Chaahat : Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Sweet. Romantic and nostalgic. This song is a chartbuster. Fateh Ali Khan comes back to the "Jiya Dhadak" mode with this one. Simple lyrics and simple tune. But it has such an impact in one's mind. Impressive!!
Gunaah : Mustafa Zahid. Its good to see this wonderful singer again after Awarapan. And he doesn't dissapoint. Gunaah is very Pakistani pop. Dark and catchy arrangements. Superb rendition by Mustafa. This one's a winner.! The unplugged version by Rana Mazumder is superb and nostalgic.
Teri Yaadon Se : Mustafa Zahid. Love song. Sad. Rock. Mustafa's cool vocals is the usp of the song. Catchy tune. Simple lyrics. Pakistani at the core. Repeat hear! Remix is nothing new.
Jo Tere Sang : Mustafa Zahid. A good song again. peppy. Focuses on lyrics. Its dark again. Pakistani pop.
Arzoo : Clinton Cerejo. Get out of the mode! Fast track. Clinton does a good job. A pleasent number which feels good in the ears. Desi at the core. Good hear. :-)

Overall, Blood Money is a very good album which is in league with Awarapan, Kalyug and Jannat. Mustafa Zahid's return is impressive although the songs will remind of Awarapan itself a bit. Pakistani pop dominates all through the album. But they are here to stay. The music directors have done a fabulous job. Hats off!

London Paris New York Music Review

London Paris New York Music
Music Director : Ali Zafar

London Paris New York : By Ali Zafar and Sunidhi Chauhan. Peppy intro song. Good hear.
Voh Dekhney Mein : Ali Zafar. Cool is the word. The song flows so easily in the ears that we'll find ourselves shaking our head. Good composition. Good rendition.
The female acoustic version by Aditi Rao  is cool too.
Ting Rang : Ali Zafar. Nothing new. Routine bhangra number. Same old tune. Same old beats.
Thehree Si Zindagi : Ali Zafar and Aditi Singh Hydari. Now dats a good song with carefull arrangements and music. The chorus is good to hear which makes it an above average song.
Oo La La : Ali Zafar Hadiqa Kiani and Sanam Marvi. Peppy song. No innovations. Dark beats are good to hear.
Aaja : Ali Zafar. Zafar begins in the "Jhoom" mode but enter into peppy mode very soon. Not too convincing.

Overall, an average album with two good songs. Had more expectations from the album given that Ali Zafar is the m usic director. But it fails to live up the expectations.

Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya Music Review

Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya Music
Music Director : Sachin - Jigar

Piya Ore Piya : By Atif aslam and Shreya Ghoshal. Sweet melody. Shreya saves the song. Atif yells as usual and croons as if he has severe cold. Rather an enjoyable number without much repeat quality. Sad version is also good. Remix was not neccessary.
Tu Mohobatt Hai : Atif Aslam Monali Thakur and Priya Panchal. Now this one's something. Atif's singing is plane which makes a better hearing. The tune is loveful and cool and the females support beautifully. Good hear! Remix disappoints!
Jeene De : Mohit Chauhan. The real gem of the album. This one stands out because of the Indian flavour of the song and Mohit's catchy rendition. Jeene De is addictive and is for repeat hearing. The qwaali elements is beautifully merged which suits Mohit's voice very well. Must hear! The coffee house version of the song is equally good.
Pee Pa Pee Pa : Diljith Dosanjh and Priya Panchal. Fast number. Good hearing. Fresh tune. Remix is nothing.
Fann Bann gayi : Sunidhi Chauhan and Kailash Kher. Waste of time.

Overall, TNLHG has three very good songs, one average and one flop song. Jeene de saves it from becoming below average. A nice hearing if u avoid Fann ban gayi.

Jodi Breakers Music Review

Jodi Breakers Music
Music Director :  Salim & Sulaiman

Kunwara : By Salim Merchant. In the Ladies vs Ricky Bahl zone. Peppy zone. Likable.
Bipasha : By Shradha Pandit and Shadab Faridi. Item song. No heavy beats but still good rendering. A good hearing. Shradha stands out.
Bipasha Remix : By Salim Merchant. Nothing grt. Still good hear.
Darmiyaan : By Shafqat Amanat Ali and Clinton Cerejo. Amanat's usual style. Slow and sad. Good for nighttime hearing. A song with classical elements executed excellently by amanat. Clinton cerejo's English is good too.
Darmiyaan Reprise : Shreya Ghoshal. Slow, unplugged nd beautiful!
Mujhko Teri Zaroorat Hai : By Salim Merchant. Salim proves again how good a singer he is. Good love song which is nostalgic. Excellent composition. Grt hear.!
Mujhko Teri Zaroorat Hai Remix : By Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Takes the song altoghether to a different level. Another example where a REMIX stands out as the song. RFAK is xcellent in vocals. Go for it.!
Jab mein tumhare saath hun : By Benny Dayal, Salim Merchant and Shilpa Rao. Situational song. Pleasent one. Pleasent hearing too. Benny Dayal is breezy. Altogether ends up in a superb song!

Overall, Jodi Breakers is a superb album whith each song standing out from each other. Has some very good melodies that is set to rule the charts if well promoted. Salim&Sulaiman comes out from the LVRB peppy mode. One good album in the start of 2012! GRT!

Ekk Deewana Tha Music Review

Ekk Deewana Tha Music
Music Director : A R Rahman
Hindi version of Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya, which was a stupendous score.!

Mohobbat : Sung by ARR, catchy tune. Minimal arrangements. Good listen.
Dost hai : By Naresh Iyer, Arya nd Jaspreet. Naresh is beautiful. Loved the raps. Tamil version was better. Still good.
Aromale : By Alphonse. Cult! Classic. No words. Beautiful.! Tamil version was better.
Hosanna ; By Leonne D'Souza nd Suzzane D'Mello. Grt piece of music. Good singing. Lyrics seems to be forced. Tamil version was better.
Phoolon Jaisi : By Clinton Cerejo nd Kalyani Menon. Hindi version of 'Omanapenne'. Average. It don't have the flow or the 'Omanatham'(or loveliness in Malayalam) in the lyrics. Good singing. Tamil version was better.
Sharminda Hoon : By Madhusree nd ARR. Hindi version of 'Mannipayya". Sweet nd Romantic. Good arrangements. Soulful tune. Go for it.
Sunlo Zara : By Rashid Ali nd Shreya Ghoshal. Wedding song. Grt singing by Rashid nd Shreya. Melodious nd chorus is catchy.
Zohra-Jabeen : By Javed Ali. Slow nd soulful. Javed does a good work. Still Karthik was better in Tamil version in terms of emotional quotient.
Broken Promises : By Shreya Ghoshal. This one's a gem!. With Shreya crooning a sombre, emotional nd nostalgic version of Aromale, rich in classical content, in an unplugged manner. It stands out in the entire album. Grt!! Grt!!
Moments in Kerala : By Prabhakar. Keyboard nd Violin. Perfect for nighttime hearing. Good.
Jessie's Land : By Megha. A light humming of Hosanna. Soothing.
Jessie's driving me crazy : Sanjeev Thomas nd Timmy. Complete hard rock. Grt arrangements. Good listen.

So overall its a superb album. Vinnaithandi Varuvaya was a fantastic one. The minuses in this Hindi version is its lyrics which seems unfitting in some songs nd unnecessary additions to the original. Maybe an independent reviewer who hasn't heard VTV may find it better. Any way go for it.!
